Great tasty food, fast service with a friendly attendant. Don tats, taro puffs, char siu so, all so flakey and light! Can't get enough of their delicious dim sum. A small mom and pop place who know how to cook and please their customers. Highly recommend Joyful Dimsum and we come here often. See you soon! Liz & Loren

Unfortunately, I did not take any photos as I was super hungry coming in, but this place did not disappoint. The restaurant itself is in a hidden small plaza but has plenty of parking and about 4 tables inside plus some outside seating. It is a small business where the father is the cashier helping with the front and the mom is in the back cooking. Their daughter was there too, which was sweet and nice to see! For food, we ordered a good amount of items from the rice rolls with spare rib to the shu mai and xiao long bao. All the items came out piping hot and were super delicious. My favorite was the rice noodle with spare ribs. I think we ordered about 7 items and had plenty of leftovers. Our total was only about $47 before tip but after tax. Definitely worth it for the price and you get what you pay for. Overall, I'd definitely be back and thoroughly enjoyed this restaurant! Give this place a try!

My dad and I went to try this place one early Sunday morning to try to beat the lunch rush. When we got there, it was empty but by the time we were finished eating, the seating was completely filled both indoors and outdoors. You order, pay, and then self serve tea or hot water. What we ate: siu mai (5/5) -- juicy, meaty, flavorful har gao (3.5/5) -- The skin was too thick, but the filling was filled to the brim with juicy, tender shrimp chunks and it had a very clean flavor accompanied by hint of white pepper. I would get again if I am in the mood for shrimp baked bbq pork rolls (2/5) -- A new dish that we had never seen before, I did not have expectations going in. The pastry is very buttery, so if you are easily nauseous like me, I would try a bite before washing it down with tea. The char siu also seemed to saturate the dough so it became there was a moist, dense layer between the pastry and the meat that was unpleasant steamed spare ribs (5/5) -- Again very clean and the taro soaked up all the pork juices. Garlic, pork, and light sesame flavors. I would avoid if you do not like to chew your pork too much though custard filled pineapple buns (2/5) -- Maybe it was an off day, but the custard had several large chunks of cornstarch globs throughout...the custard was also way too thick even after trying to eat warm. The ratio of filling to bread is good and the bread is quite tender, but the custard was disappointing chicken feet (5/5) -- the best sauce I have ever had for chicken feet...umami, sweet, barely spicy, and I could actually taste the fermented black bean...I took this home and ate it with rice overall, this is a very affordable place (only ~$30 for everything)!! I would come back for the savory items and I am open to retrying their baked goods :)

I really liked this place- we sat outside and enjoyed 7 or 8 menu items. I did not like that even "for here" food is served in to-go containers with single serve packets for soy sauce. It was so wasteful to throw away all the boxes and plastic. Made me feel pretty bummed. Service was good, food and value was great.

I am very happy to have found another great dim sum spot that doesn't charge so much for one order. When we arrived a little past one, the place was full both inside and outside. They have very limited sitting so be aware of that. This place is definitely perfect for to go orders. We ordered 2 orders of shui mai, 1 order of har gow and 1 order of steamed bbq pork buns. Their shui mai was amazing. And its a pretty good medium size. It was very tasty and very filling. Highly recommend it. I enjoyed the har gow as well. The shrimp tasted good. The pork buns were perfectly size and not overwhelmingly big where you struggle to bit it. What was good about it as well is the filling was not too much it was just perfect. The only thing I would change is their chili sauce. I wish they offered the chili flake oil sauce this would've been a perfect meal. I also enjoyed the fact that they self serve hot tea for their dine in customers. All in all amazing food, quick service and amazing customer service. Highly recommend this dim sum spot.

Though the place is small, it offers the basic Dim Sum at an affordable price. The food taste is average, but the food portion is pretty good, so this is a place of value. The place is environmentally friendly. The dim sum sheet is a laminated menu for consumers to check what they want with a pen whose ink is removable, so this menu sheet can be used again and again. All the food is in paper containers, so it is easy for the store and consumers. Service is quick. There are only 4 tables inside, so to go might be a better choice. The tea is self-served with two types of tea bags: Pu Er and Jasmine green team. Both tea bags are from well-recognized brands.

The service is kind and helpful! I love their frozen dim sum. Dim sum is so expensive these days and Joyful is a delicious and affordable option. The dim sum size is bigger than usual and quality is great! I'm attaching the menu so others can order. I like to call ahead so that they can pack the order ahead of time. My favorites are ha Gow, meatballs and the vegetarian dumpling. I also use a giant steamer and steam frozen dumplings for about 12-15 minutes.

Came here on a Monday around 1:30pm to order take out. There were 2 tables occupied. Got the shui mai, they were big and juicy. Lotus sticky rice, there were 2 of them . They were not bad. I wanted to get the pineapple bun with custard but they ran out so I got the piggy custard buns. The piggy buns were squished and they were also quite soggy! Would not get it again.

Last time I reviewed this place they had just opened. Now 2 years later, they are doing well, and have added many more items to their menu. They even added gai lan, which was something I suggested in my first review - thank you for listening to your customers. Their baked goods sell out, so I made sure to order in the morning this time. For a small little mom and pop business, they really put out very decent dim sum. There's a few tables inside and outside, but I usually order to-go. Few new items I tried.. + Bake BBQ pork buns - good bun, not a lot of filling, but overall tastes good. + Sticky rice in lotus leaf - good, sticky, moist texture and good flavor + Fried chicken wings - surprisingly good If you order more than $30 online, you need to show your ID. Had some technical issues, so I just ordered in store. Not a big deal. This is a great option if you crave dim sum but don't want to bother with the crowded large dim sum houses.
